c. 2010

Was digging through my computer and found these older outfit pics that I somehow forgot to post. They were taken during last school year's Fall 2010 semester for a thread on the AAAC clothing forum. I've also included, thanks to my otherwise vestigial clothing memory, prices at which I've gotten each item to support the idea of thrifting and spending on a budget.

I will be posting new articles and more current pictures in the coming days so keep in touch.

Back to school picnic, orange and black belt are my school colors.

Duck Head rises from the ashes

As you may have read in an earlier post, I am a fan of the treasured and long-forgotten southern clothier known as Duck Head. Their chinos were as synonymous with the south as chicken biscuits served fresh on a Sunday morning. Where as before I had to diligently hunt thrift stores and eBay for my ultimate "white whale" of a flat front and matching waist size, now no longer as Duck Head has made a return and is working to re-establish its former glory. The new online storefront is now live and you are able to register an account and purchase items. I have exchanged emails with Scott McFadden, the vice president of the company that purchased Duck Head, here is what he has to say:

"The Duck Head line will officially launch in retail for Spring 2012 and we are still presenting to the various retailers. In the meantime our website is LIVE at www.duckhead.com and you can use coupon code DHW186520 to get 20% off and also we offer FREE shipping on orders over $100.

Sincerely,

Scott McFadden"

I will be placing an order for their staple chinos (the khaki and the famous duck olive colors are taunting my wallet right now...) and will post my review soon.

Good work Mr. McFadden, and good luck to this new venture. Now let's spread the word!
